For someone who is recovering from addiction, it is not uncommon to feel anxious. Maybe you’re worried about whether you can be strong enough to stay sober. You’re probably anxious about how you’ll face your family or your job once you get out of rehab. Or maybe you’ve been sober for long, but the stress you have in your life is making you worried you’ll relapse.
Anxiety is a serious problem that can affect many people in different ways. If you’re struggling with anxiety, it doesn’t mean that you are weak or incapable of staying sober. You just need to give yourself time and patience while looking for ways to calm your fears and worries.
