Visiting
Clients may have visitors on Saturdays. Visitors are required to participate in family therapy and group meetings.
Phone Use
- Clients are allowed to use their personal cell phones during specified hours, Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm.
- During detox, clients are not granted any cell phone privileges. When clients transfer or enter directly to residential treatment, there is a 3-day blackout period before they can use their phones on day 4.
- Cell phones cannot be taken off site and must be surrendered if a client is on a lay-in.
Cell phone schedule at the Lighthouse:
7:30 am: Clients may check out their phones.
8:25 am: Phones are checked in until after morning groups.
12:00 pm: Phones can be checked out.
12:55 pm: Check-in until afternoon groups conclude.
4:30 pm: Phones are checked out.
5:55 pm: Phones must be checked in for the day.
It’s important to follow these times because late turn-ins mean phones won’t be released until the next scheduled time. This structure is designed to teach time management and prioritize programming over cell phone use.
